Welsh rams horn shepherds crook with sheep carving
 
Made by a master craftsman this crook is unusual but traditional at the same time.
 
The shank is hazel and the total stick length measures 135cm. The crook is traditional in its shape and has a detailed sheepdog and sheep science carved, painted, and varnished on to both sides.  The scene depicts one sheep with a red collar , both sides are painted slightly different in colour – a true trial stick for sure. 
 
A pointed ferrule has been applied for the convenience of sheepdog trialling.
The maker is an award-winning maker and has recently retired.
