Welsh rams horn toped thumb stick shaped as pheasants.
 
The shank is hazel and the total stick length measures 117cm to the base of the Y. Each of the two branches that form the stick are topped with a cock and hen pheasant.  Each one is hand carved, hand painted and varnished, they both have a lustre that shines in the light mimicking that of a real pheasant.
The handle is detailed yet well balanced and comfortable in the grip.  The stick has a natural taper and is thicker at the bottom making a very sturdy walking stick.
 
A brass ferrule has been applied.
The maker is an award-winning maker and has recently retired.
