Welsh rams horn walking stick shaped as a curlew

The shank is hazel and the total stick length measures 99cm. The handle is exquisitely carved from Welsh ram horn and then painted and varnished. The handle is detailed yet well balanced and comfortable in the grip, the natural curvature of the horn has made a very comfortable handle.  The detail on the bird is second to none, the feathers are carved before being painted.
 
A rubber foot has been applied.
The maker is an award-winning maker and has recently retired.
